Nerds, Nyquil, and Nail Polish

Well, YAY for a quiet Saturday. I have a clean house, 2 days of ironing done and a ringside seat to a lively game being played by my 3 favorite men right now. (I would still like to know how the candy Nerds ended up all over the diningroom, but I'm also kinda afraid to ask...)

I've been in the mood to bake wonderful things this weekend. The chicken tortilla soup and the chocolate chip cheeseball turned out great, but the government still requests that I not make any more piecrust until they have an antidote ready.

Now that my cold has eased, I realize that the cherry-flavored Biggby coffee I bought tastes like a mixture of Nyquil and nail polish. I don't know what's worse--that anyone would make coffee sooo bad, or that I drank it for 3 days before discovering the horror of it! (My trauma over that abominable flavor is somewhat lessened by the chance to see the hilarious expression on Arvel's face when he sampled it.)

In wonderful news, we have our themes for both IHC and summer travels. In less-wonderful news, WOW--I have a lot to do! I read this morning "be still and know that I am God" and remembered that HE has it all under control and HE'll help me get it all done. (But please feel free to pray and throw cookies at me...)
