Shades of Wednesday Green

It's a magnificently frosty Wednesday morning and I have high hopes for the day. Although my boys are both still a little pale today, at least they're not green: I'm hoping the semi-annual revivalitis bug has left us, and we can enjoy church in person tonight. (To help things along, a couple boys will be coming home to REST this afternoon after our library trip.)

In happy, greenish news, this blogger is pleased to announce that our family is now recycling more than we throw away! I know some of you couldn't care less about that, but I hate driving past the dump and seeing that mountain of nastiness. Just because Jesus is coming back soon doesn't mean we're supposed to make a big mess!

Considerably LESS green is our compost operation. Yeah, I'm an epic fail in the scraps department during cold weather. The thought of dragging egg shells and orange rinds outside, chipping the frozen lid off the container and then trying to stir the whole icy mess around (before a squirrel jumps in!) just isn't going so great. I need a proper composter. And also a little inspiration.

The work won't do itself, though--so I'm off to devotions and a long to-do list. With all the poise and grace of a pregnant hippopotamus, I shall manage this Wednesday and be parked in the 3rd pew by 7 pm.
