I talk too much, and I know it. It's one of my least favorite qualities about myself. It's the trait I pray over every day.
Clearly, God has heard my prayers. Life has conspired lately to help me be quiet. Between a busy schedule, and computer issues, my internet and phone chat times have plummeted to a level that should keep even me out of trouble.
By way of updates, we had a magnificent (and fairly restful) Christmas holiday season. We did a whole lot of NOTHING, and we enjoyed it. Our delight was somewhat tempered by issues with the computer (in the shop), the vacuum (ungodly squeal when it's running), Gene's car (new brakes), the microwave (kaput), the diningroom table (also kaput) and the boss' dog (collapsed from old age and had to be put down, while we were babysitting it). None of those things determine our happiness, though. We are much blessed.
I'm spending a few days helping out in Connor's classroom while a regular staffer is out; my dear husband is nearly a week past the date I gave him for choosing a theme for IHC (and about 2 days from meeting his Maker, if he doesn't get it picked). Blogging may be punier than usual. At some point soon, I need to either splurge on a new computer and camera, or hang up my bloghat. The jury's still out on which way that'll go.
Whoever you are, wherever you are--I pray this Christmas season found you close to Jesus and surrounded by loving friends and family.
Happy weekend... (said very quietly...)

Whew! It sounds like you had an nice eventful Christmas. (With lots of things dying in your house...including your boss' dog. =(
I hope you don't quit blogging, for we will miss you if you do! =)
Blessings...and I hope that you haven't sent your man on to glory yet. ;)
Happy 2012!

If you mean (by your husband choosing a theme for IHC)that you are doing the Children's services for IHC I'll be PRAYING For you! That is a BIG responsibility as you train young hearts and minds for Jesus. I'll praying as God guides you to the right songs, stories, Bible verses, etc. to use. As you know today kids at IHC are our leaders in tomorrow's church. (I WELL remember attending IHC children's services every year and loving them!)
If I'm totally off on this...just disregard my comment. =)

Don't hang up your blog hat! I love reading your blog. (And thanks for listing me as a fellow blogger!)
Heather, you're right. Pray for us!
Meghan, I LOVE your blog too--just discovered it, actually.
Please join me in praying that I can feel clear to splurge on the electronics sometime soon. :)
